Chat and book analysis use Gemini 2.0 Flash; OpenRouter as fallback. Account and chat data are stored in the EU (Supabase). We do not use your texts to train models.

FAQ

What counts as one analysis?

One analysis is one successful processing of a book text: character extraction, metadata, and chat setup. Re-analyzing the same file after changes counts as a new analysis.

Can I upload my own book?

Yes. Upload a .txt file — novquill analyzes the text and prepares characters for chat. Reader includes the demo library and 3 new analyses per month.

Are my books saved?

Yes. After a successful analysis, the book stays in your personal library forever. Chat history is stored in the cloud too. Without sign-in, the session stays local in your browser.

Are my books used to train AI?

No. Your texts and chats are not used to train models and are not shared with other users. Processing is only for analysis and chat in your account.

Can I cancel my subscription?

Yes, anytime — in your account or through Stripe. After the paid period ends, your account moves to Reader with matching limits.

What happens when I hit a limit?

When messages or analyses run out, that feature pauses until the next month. Upgrade for higher limits or wait for the reset.

Limits reset each calendar month (UTC). No hidden fees.
